Have the freedom to pick and choose your AWESOME days at camp. Purchase a five-day punch card to drop-in for any five days of Camp Awesome (M-F, 6/10 to 8/23/12, 2pm to 5pm, SKIP 7/4). This card will need to be picked up at the camp drop-off location on your child's first day of camp. Camper must present card at each day of camp. The card may be shared between siblings and friends. We must have a signed waiver on file for each camper (one waiver for the summer to be filled out on first day of camp). If you are purchasing multiple cards for one participant you must either call or go to the community center to sign up. The 2013 Awesome Card expires 8/23/13. Single day registration will be avaiable the last week of camp. Make your Afternoons AWESOME! Take this camp as a stand-alone afternoon camp, use it as aftercare for Camp Awesome or combine it with other Lafayette Recreation Camps using the Camp Connection Program. Activities will include sports, games, crafts, movies, hikes and water play. Between activates campers will enjoy the awesome game room featuring Wii with 'Just Dance', foosball, game tables, basketball hoops, toys and more. Snack will be provided. Water play on Fridays (bring swimsuit and towel). Pair this camp with Camp Awesome!!! Build Your Day with the Camp Connection Program. Counselors from Camp Awesome will pick your child up from their morning camp and take them to their afternoon camp. While at Camp Awesome, campers will participate in all the fun Camp Awesome has to offer. Participants must bring a lunch. Sign up for 1 or 2 hour week long sessions. Please disregard times listed in description as times will vary based on your morning and afternoon camps. This is the 1 hour connection. Participants the need to fill a 5 to 60 minute gap should sign up for this connection. Participants that need to fill a 61 to 120 minute gap should sign up for the 2 hour connection. This camp is awesome for kids because it has cool activities like dodge ball, crafts, tie dying & Games2U (laser tag, video games, boogar wars & the giant Angry Bird launcher. G2U TWICE A WEEK!). Awesome for parents, because our camp is flexible and affordable. Camp runs ALL 11 WEEKS of summer plus with early care beginning at 7:30am, and after care camp until 5pm or the drop in punch cards that allow you to pick and choose your days of summer, we have you covered whenever you want to have fun. Our trained, professional counselors will keep each week fresh and exciting by offering surprise themed days like crazy hair day, dinosaur day, relay day and nature adventure day throughout the summer. Campers must bring lunch. Snack will be provided. Weekly Activities: Games2U twice a week, summer shows (jugglers, magicians, clowns), wheels on Wednesdays, movie on our giant inflatable screen, water play for the hot after care afternoons and surprise theme days (performers, movies, themes and activities vary each week) The Awesome Game Room: Between activities campers will enjoy basketball, foosball, board games, toys, Legos, coloring & a Wii with 'Just Dance'. For the Small & Awesome: Four to six year old morning campers have their own group with toys and activities geared toward younger campers & their own basketball hoop. Students will learn how to do basic sewing projects on a machine using recycled t-shirts and jeans, unconventional materials, and specialty fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. The class will design fashion and accessories in a unique and surprising way, teaching students that being eco-friendly is here to stay. A great class for the unconventionally creative student!

This camp is designed to introduce young children to the sport of gymnastics. Children will learn beginning gymnastics and tumbling skills, working on the bars, low balance beams, mini-trampolines, vaulting blocks and barrels and incline mats. Each day your child will participate in many other group activities and will be introduced to strength and flexibility exercises with fun and challenging games. During the child's rest time, they will explore a variety of craft projects and other hands on activities.

The Lafayette Tennis Club offers the finest and most modern method of tennis instruction. Our focus during each session is the individual development of every player. We will assist all students in developing basic fundamental tennis strokes, court knowledge and general playing skills. Each student will experience a combination of group and individual instruction and attention. The camp is overseen by Hunter Gallaway, Tennis Director and Owner. He is formerly a world ranked player, collegiate All-American, and USPTA certified instructor. He is assisted by Head Pro and Camp Director Jason Huck and an outstanding group of experienced counselors who have been personally trained in all aspects of teaching tennis. Players ages 6-12 will use our new quick start program. The Quick start program allows the new Junior Player to use the right size and weight racket, a smaller court, and softer balls that do not bounce too high. On the first day, newcomers will be able to rally! The kids have so much fun! Learning and improving skills is easier and quicker!
